The fifth annual Caribou Charity Ride will take place on Sunday, September 15, 2013. Cyclists can choose between a 50k or a 100k ride. The ride is for everyone from the average weekend warrior to accomplished cyclists. The meeting point is the Nor'Wester Resort Hotel at 2080 Highway 61 and both rides will travel through Oliver Paipoonge Township near Thunder Bay, Ontario.During a lifetime nearly everyone will be affected by cancer. The Caribou Charity Ride was created to give all kinds of people - mothers, fathers, |
grandparents, teens, friends, and cancer survivors - the motivation to challenge themselves while contributing towards a cure. To participate all you need is a bike, a helmet (Snell or ANSI certified) and determination. Join us in inspiring healthy lifestyle, promoting cancer awareness and empowering those affected by the disease. Proceeds will benefit the Northern Cancer Fund to bring the absolute best in patient care, education, and prevention to Northwestern Ontario. Registration for Caribou Charity Ride is now open. Last year, our team of dedicated cyclists and enthusiastic supporters helped to raise an astonishing $38,000 for the Northern Cancer Fund – a total that we aim to surpass this year. All proceeds will once again be donated to the Northern Cancer Fund to help establish the absolute best in patient care, education, and prevention in Northwestern Ontario. |
